Interesting, but quite logical; simple meals like that do get repeated around the globe.Hana - Marmotahttps://www.blogger.com/profile/03532515160608083460noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7163330007385367610.post-4577874802276577722014-07-13T21:54:51.085-04:002014-07-13T21:54:51.085-04:00It wasn't bad. I thought there was going to be a typhoon of posts on the 4th. I tried but couldn't get in the kitchen so I went in another direction on another day. I am glad someone thought to honor the wounded soldiers.QNPoohBearhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/14941631487565237299noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7163330007385367610.post-89173117014635277372014-07-06T20:44:43.034-04:002014-07-06T20:44:43.034-04:00Thanks! I did lots of research to make sure I could make the recipe right and tried to see where I could find it.

I went to work and excitedly told my coworker what I was working on to which she replied "Eww. We used to eat that when I was a kid." When I showed my parents, my dad said the same thing.

So apparently, this isn't impressive to anyone over the age of 50. :PStephanie Annhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/13324411278252488163noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7163330007385367610.post-52464639965688822072014-07-05T19:15:47.819-04:002014-07-05T19:15:47.819-04:00Interesting recipe. Good for you for participating in the challenge and trying to follow it to historical standards as much as you could.

7,000 killed...that's a heavy loss of life. Many people seem to think that America's costliest war in terms of life was either the Vietnam War or World War II, but it was the Civil War.Andrew-L'autrehttps://www.blogger.com/profile/09683044614329189495noreply@blogger.com
