More events are being done for creativity and interpretation fans, and that's a wonderful thing.Aquazoohttps://www.blogger.com/profile/08559180713078854582noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7163330007385367610.post-83170658853741735922019-02-13T16:42:07.959-05:002019-02-13T16:42:07.959-05:00This is an excellent article. While reenactor poke and prod each other, they should rally around ur basic concept here.

First, I’m from the WWII Venue. I have used the word “facets”for years. Find your facet, then enjoy the Hell outta the hobby. We tend to have it backward. “Enjoy my facet!” And hence, we get angry hobbyists who gripe and possibly end up leaving the hobby because they are forced to do something they don’t enjoy.

Example. Most WWII tactical events are managed horribly. But. I’ve attended about 300 tacticals around the country! So what gives? Our band of misfits enjoy the tactical on our terms—our facet—and keep on attending. I will prolly keep going til I drop dead.

Your idea should be the foundation for growth in the hobby. But because we tend to want others to enjoy our facet, I’m thinking nothing will happen.
